This session will cover Web Services in J2EE-1.5, explore what is new in WSDL, SOAP, JAXRPC, JAXB, introduce the JBossWS architecture, discuss what JBossWS can do today as well as issues beyond Web Services for J2EE.

This presentation will talk about JBossWeb (Integrated Web Container - Tomcat) and then move on to discussing the new features/connectors available with integrating JBossWeb with native web servers like Apache.

This presentation will focus on Hibernate and the relationship between Hibernate and the upcoming EJB3 feature set. Highlighted will be new features in Hibernate 3.0 including inheritance mapping, temporal and regional data, and the ability to use Hibernate along with hand-written SQL as a JDBC framework.

This presentation is intended to give an overview of the emerging infrastructure called 'the Grid'. The presentation will try to address questions related to its actual definition, how will it work and the state of the art in terms of existing and future applications.

The Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) BoF session features three panelists to discuss how AOP can be applied in real world projects. The panelists start the conversation by sharing their experience. The BoF turns into a forum for participants to voice their concerns for AOP in real world and brainstorm for the best enterprise aspects for the JBoss aspect library.

This session walks the audience through the EJB 3.0 specification with JBoss's implementation being demoed. EJB 3.0 is a vast improvement over earlier versions of the specification as it attempts to solve usability issues like the removal of XML deployment descriptors, and a full fledged persistence model that support inheritance, a fully featured query language, and a complete Object/Relational mapping.
