SESSION DESCRIPTION The JMX-based microkernel architecture has been one of the key factors that contributed to the success of the JBoss application server. The purpose of this presentation is to educate about the usefulness of the JBoss microkernel as a generic to provide a birds-eye view of the microkernel architecture that has powered the 3.x and 4.x series plus a great deal of ISV products based on JBoss, with the purpose of identifying practical ways in which the microkernel can be re-used for you own applications.
